Admissions

Eligibility

The ministry at Abba House is Christian in nature and content, however, Christianity is not a pre-requisite to enter the program at Abba House.

Eligibility for the program at Abba House is based on the following criteria:

  • Women who are at least 18 years old and have completed detox if applicable
  • Free from all psychotropic medications, such as anti-anxiety, anti-depressant or sleeping medications. *Always consult the prescribing physician before discontinuing any of these medications*
  • Seeking help for any of the following issues: Sexual Abuse, Victims of Battering, Relational and Sexual Addiction, Eating Disorders, Emotional Distress, or Drug & Alcohol Abuse or Dependence

* Women with any other condition preventing them from living a healthy Christian life will be considered individually

Abba House specializes in helping women with children and ultimately desires to reunite all parents and children whenever it is appropriate. The primary focus, however, is on the woman’s emotional health and as such, children do not join their mothers immediately. The timing in which a child will join their mother at Abba House is affected by many different factors and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Due to the nature of our ministry, it is our policy to not admit clients who have been convicted of certain violent crimes, sexual crimes or crimes against children or the elderly.
