The History of Abba House

Abba House was founded in 1992 by Jim and Chris Sharp. Since then hundreds of women and their families with life-controlling problems have been set free to live productive lives. Abba House has been known for love that accepts and encourages change and healing. God brings healing to body, soul and spirit.

Jim and Chris have reestablished Abba House, Inc, a non profit residential ministry in Cumming, GA. They have a rich history in Christian ministry to people suffering with addiction and abuse. Twelve years ago Abba House was founded by Jim and Chris in Florida. Jim has completed his studies at the Net Training Institute, a Florida state approved Addiction Counselor Training Provider. Jim is an ordained minister and was recently Director of The Women’s Ministry of Faith Farm, a ministry Abba House had merged with. The Sharps took the ministry from a capacity of ten to a ministry with a capacity of thirty-six women and children. The ministry, in the last two years, has seen 75% of the women that graduated walking out their recovery through faith in Christ. This ministry became one of the largest and most effective in the country.
